The Hoboken Police Department’s 14th annual 5K Run/Walk Against Crime will be held tonight at 7, beginning at Pier A Park. Runners may register today between 4 and 6:40 p.m. at the park. The fee is $20 and proceeds benefit the Hoboken Police Department 911 Memorial Fund.
Smooth handoff: Brodie delivers jersey to Dilfer
SANTA CLARA — The handoff between John Brodie and Trent Dilfer was one of a kind. In between the 49ers’ two training camp practices, Brodie brought his No. 12 jersey out of retirement and gave it to Dilfer to wear for as long as he’s a 49er.
Former New Jersey Governor visiting New Hampshire
CONCORD, N.H. Former New Jersey Governor Christie Todd Whitman is in New Hampshire this weekend. She was attending a women’s breakfast in Dover this morning and is expected at the New Hampshire G-O-P luncheon at noon in Concord.
Gas prices hold steady
After a run-up earlier this summer, prices at the pump have leveled off at $3.12 in Delaware. According to AAA Mid-Atlantic’s daily fuel report, the price for regular unleaded gas has held steady at $3.12 for the past week. The price is still higher than the national average of $3.01, according to the report. The statewide average for New Jersey and Pennsylvania is $2.99, it said. Delaware
